There is a small hole on the ordinary pot lid to prevent explosion. When heating, glass lid the temperature in the pot rises and the air pressure becomes larger. If the pressure is not released, glass lid it will easily cause an explosion. Small holes are punched in the lid of the pot, glass lid which can uniformly and continuously discharge the heat to the outside during the heating process, which has a decompression effect.

After heating with a lid, the air in the pot will expand partly. After cooling, glass lid the pressure in the pot will be less than atmospheric pressure. If there are no small holes, glass lid some pots and lids are tightly combined, glass lid which will cause the lid to not open.

In order to prevent hands from being burned by the hot steam in the pot when the pot lid is opened violently, glass lid a gap should be opened first to release the heat. The function of the small holes is to prevent the water vapor in the pot from suddenly spraying out and burning your hands.
